This Privacy Policy applies to our websites, www.rambase.com, developer.rambase.com and theorigin.rambase.com.  This policy will explain our data collection, processing, and usage practices with regard to personal information obtained through your visit to our website. The policy will also describe your choices regarding the use, access, and correction of your personal information. 

Personal information obtained by RamBase outside of this website, for example, job applications, visitor logs, video surveillance at our locations, etc,  are governed by the Hatteland Group, which owns RamBase.  Read the Hatteland Privacy Policy here for updated information on those aspects. 

 

WHY AND HOW PERSONAL INFORMATION  IS COLLECTED

On our website, we collect information about our visitors via contact forms, where you provide your personal details, or via tracking scripts, which use cookies for the anonymous identification of users. We use this information to enhance the navigation of the website, analyze site usage, improve our marketing efforts and for advertising purposes.

Contact Forms: On our website, we have contact forms as a way of communicating with our visitors. When a contact form is used, the following information that you have submitted is collected: name, e-mail. company name and phone number. The information will be stored in our CRM system, and used for two separate purposes. 

  • To follow up and keep track of your request. Company and contact data, as well as records of communication, will be stored for as long as they are considered relevant. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in following up on requests and for keeping track of companies and contacts relevant to our services.
  • To perform marketing and advertising. Your email address may be used to send newsletters and similar inquiries and to offer targeted advertising on other websites. The legal basis for this is your consent, provided when you submit your contact details. 

Tracking scripts: When you visit our website, we run several tracking scripts that employ cookies in order to anonymously identify you as a user. We collect some data from your devices, such as your IP address, your device model, and your browser version, and some data from your behaviour, such as which pages you visit and how you interact with our site. This data is collected and stored by various tools/systems (see below for details) for two separate purposes:

  • To create reports and to analyze the traffic on our website, in order to improve the site and make sure it provides the best experience for our visitors, and to keep track of the value it creates for us.   • To enable targeted advertising through third-party advertising networks or to connect the data to our customer relationship management systems in order to support our sales efforts and make sure our communications with you are as relevant as possible. RamBase uses the following tools, systems and vendors for data collection and processing:

Google Analytics: RamBase uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects device and behaviour data in order to evaluate visitors' use of our website and compile reports for us on activity on the site. Albacross: RamBase uses Albacross to collect information about the company name and site usage for analytic, marketing, and sales purpose. Albacross uses your IP address and other available information from your device in order to provide a list of companies that visit our site. Hotjar: RamBase uses Hotjar to analyse user trends on our website. With Hotjar, we collect data about your interactions (e.g. where you click, scroll your mouse, move in between pages) and use it to create visual representations of the experience. Our site rambase.com has a tracking code which contacts Hotjar’s servers and provides a script to your computer or device. LinkedIn: Rambase uses RamBase Insights to track users on the website and connect them with Linkedin’s logged-in user data. This provides valuable data which allows us to evaluate our website traffic and the audience groups that visit our site. RamBase is owned by the Hatteland Group. The Hatteland Group has created the role of Data Protection Officer, whose job is to ensure the privacy interests of both employees and customers of the Hatteland Group. This arrangement is facilitated and managed by the Norwegian Data Protection Authority. The Data Protection Officer can assist individuals whose personal information is registered with us, with safeguarding their rights.
